Version 2026.6 brings two of the most frequently requested features directly into your daily workflow: table and chart widgets can now be filtered, and entire dashboards can be exported as PDFs, including as attachments in automated reports. Energy management, audit reports and shift reports can now be handled with a single click.

The visualisation options have also been significantly expanded: pie charts and bar charts now offer new display modes (including horizontal layouts and percentage values displayed directly on the chart element), chart widgets now support up to 70 signals, and you can copy signals between chart widgets via the clipboard. This saves a significant number of clicks for those building complex dashboards.

The release is complemented by folder tabs on dashboards for more streamlined navigation, as well as several improvements to the signal input widget, such as the option to quickly set the time to ‘now’ and drag-and-drop functionality for reordering multiple entries.

Version 2026.5 does away with an annoying context switch: signals can now be added or edited directly in the signal selection dialogue. Anyone creating a new diagram who realises that a signal is still missing or needs to be renamed can now do so in a single step, without having to go via the Administration menu.

At the same time, we’ve been fine-tuning various aspects of the site: the left-hand navigation now scrolls smoothly, the top menu is more consistent, and the admin area (Files, Monitoring, Permissions) has been tidied up in terms of headings and user interactions. Small changes, big impact in day-to-day use.

Added to this is a whole host of improvements to detail and stability, ranging from smoother table and text charts and more stable picture chart positions to polished dialogue animations. In many respects, smart2i feels a bit more polished.

With version 2026.4, your table charts will be much more informative: cells now support colours and colour rules, and the timestamp column can be freely formatted. This allows you to highlight target/actual variances or critical values directly in the table view, without having to resort to an additional chart.

A new feature is the signal input widget: operators can enter signal values directly into the interface at a specified time, making it ideal for manual test values, shift comments or corrections applied retrospectively to a specific time.

In addition, formula fields now display example formulas in the information pane. This makes it much easier to create calculated signals and text, especially for new users.

Version 2026.3 makes your charts more precise and expressive. You can now define colours much more precisely in all chart types, right down to individual categories and specific highlights.

The colour rules have been significantly expanded: each colour category can now be selected individually and assigned a symbol. This allows you to design status indicators, traffic lights and KPI overviews that are consistent and easy to understand at a glance.

In addition, the adjustability of the right-hand axis has been improved in charts, allowing for clear comparisons between two axes, such as quantity versus speed or temperature versus pressure.

As the new year gets underway, version 2026.1 brings three significant efficiency improvements to your day-to-day work: you can now view, edit and add records directly within the dashboard without having to switch contexts.

SignalUsage now displays the full signal name, allowing you to see at a glance where a signal is used, no matter how deeply it is nested within works, plants or layers.

What’s more, charts can now be copied to the clipboard and pasted elsewhere. This means that recurring visualisations can be added to new dashboards in a matter of seconds.

The December release rounds off the year with a strong focus on openness and ease of use. Data records can now be retrieved via the REST API, making the bridge to ERP, BI and third-party systems even more open.

The colour selection in charts has been completely overhauled: more consistent colour palettes, a clearer preview and faster selection for each signal or category.

Another new feature is a wizard for simple formulas in notification triggers. This allows you to create complex threshold and conditional logic without in-depth knowledge of formulas. In the dashboard, you can view, edit and add data records directly, a precursor to full integration in 2026.1.

New options for individual value signals, full signal names displayed wherever they are used, and a simplified email login make day-to-day operations clearer.

Improvements to dashboard management, the data record overview and signal usage make administration much more user-friendly.

Numerous minor improvements and technical refinements further enhance performance, reliability and ease of use.

The completely revamped time range selection feature allows you to set custom time ranges for each dashboard, chart or even signal, down to the second, with presets and a history function.

The chart editor has also been updated: clearer tabs, well-organised input fields and a simpler font selection make it more efficient.

Numerous improvements to the finer details, from optimised table layouts to a revamped formula entry function, further enhance performance, stability and user-friendliness.

In our August release, we have introduced two features that will make your work with smart2i even more efficient:

• Records load faster: You’ll benefit from significantly shorter loading times, particularly when dealing with complex scenarios such as batch data. This ensures smooth analysis without long waiting times.
• Dashboard buttons with links: From now on, buttons in your dashboards can link directly to other dashboards. This makes it easy to switch from an overview to detailed information, whilst maintaining full transparency at all times.

In addition, we have made numerous behind-the-scenes improvements that further enhance the stability, performance and user-friendliness of smart2i.

With our new feature, you’ll automatically receive insights into your key data: you can now have regular reports on selected time periods from various dashboards sent to you.

You will then receive an email containing a direct link to the dashboard, which reflects the exact status for the period you have specified. You can customise when and how often you receive updates, whether daily for operational metrics or weekly for strategic overviews. This automation saves valuable time, as you no longer need to check your dashboards manually. Thanks to the timely reports, you always have up-to-date data at your fingertips to make informed decisions. This ensures that critical developments are not overlooked and that production processes can be optimised.

With the latest version of smart2i, we have completely overhauled and improved our access management system to give you even greater control and a clearer overview:

• Centralised management: User and group permissions can now be managed on a single, clear page.
• Group permissions: Easily assign users to groups and manage their permissions centrally, ideal for teams such as maintenance or quality control.
• Module-based permissions: Set specific permissions for different modules such as dashboards, alerts or AI analysis.
• Clear roles: Each module now has three distinct roles: Viewer, Editor and Admin. No more confusion when assigning permissions!
• Maximum flexibility: When personal rights and group rights are combined, the highest role is automatically taken into account.

These improvements not only save time, they bring more precision and transparency to permission management.

Button input offers a flexible solution for manual data acquisition directly via the user interface. This function enables operators to record key operational data, such as machine statuses or test values, in real time – much like a digital sensor activated by human interaction. Buttons can be individually configured to meet customer requirements, whether for monitoring individual machines, recording specific test values (e.g. compressed air, fill level, temperature) or documenting the causes of faults. This feature digitises paper-based processes, systematically records manual checks and makes all data available for further analysis.

This saves time, improves accuracy and enables a rapid response to changes in the production process. Button input thus effectively bridges the gap between automated data capture and necessary manual checking processes.

The list function allows you to record and analyse all production data for defined periods. This feature is frequently used to systematically compare key performance indicators across different work orders or shifts. For example, it allows you to calculate total order costs and review standard values such as production volumes or rates.

Shift optimisation through data comparison: By comparing multiple work shifts, you can identify differences in efficiency and implement appropriate improvements to boost productivity. This enables you to counteract performance fluctuations in the long term and establish best practices.

Transparent order management: The list function provides transparent tracking of individual work orders. It shows you which orders have gone smoothly and where there is still room for improvement, making it particularly useful for root cause analysis and forward-looking order planning. You also always have a clear overview of completed, ongoing and pending orders, enabling you to control and optimise your production processes in a targeted manner based on validated data.

The highlight is the new main menu on the left-hand side, which opens dynamically. You can now access all the key functions quickly and easily via the menu.

One feature particularly worth highlighting is the newly created dashboard collection: here, you can organise your dashboards clearly by assigning one or more keywords, known as ‘tags’, to them. This allows you to create categories, which are then listed alphabetically in the collection. This helps you keep track of all your dashboards and, via a quick navigation option in the main menu, access the dashboards relevant to you directly (see Tag Navigation).

Grouping dashboards by theme, for example by plant, line or KPI, is a big win. You stop digging through the dashboard list, and switch between dashboards intuitively, with little scrolling. With the new structure, you reach information faster and more precisely, so you keep control over your production even as data and dashboard complexity grows.

Our flexible pricing model adapts to the requirements of your production. You can choose from a range of signal packages, from 40 to 5,000 signals, which are recorded to the nearest second, and you can upgrade your package at any time should your requirements increase. The price per signal decreases as the number of signals booked increases.

This means that, as your data requirements grow, you can benefit from a cost-effective model that can be dynamically adapted to the needs of your production.
